<description>Grab your rod and reel! The Daily Journal will present Fishing College 2009 on Saturday, March 21, at the Kankakee County Fairgrounds, Kankakee, IL. Open to the public, this free local event will promote fishing and other outdoor activities in the river valley area with vendors, seminars, demonstrations and chances to win great prizes.

The Fishing College features a variety of speakers discussing topics such as fishing hot spots, tools of the trade and conservation efforts. Veteran river guide Matt Mullady will share his secrets for finding fish in the Kankakee River. There will be opportunities for local anglers to meet and speak with various clubs, organizations and businesses. New this year will be Antique Lure Display. Anglers will be encouraged to bring their antique tackle boxes and lure for a free appraisal.

Mark your calendar for this great event on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at the Kankakee County Fairgrounds. Whether you are an expert angler or novice, you won’t want to miss it! Admission is Free.
